    • Description:

“Ego” is part of a powerful, deeply personal trilogy exploring the intersection of chronic illness, mental health, and external emotional influences. Created during a period of intense personal struggle while managing severe endometriosis pain, this artwork captures the fragile balance between internal resilience and overwhelming vulnerability.
The piece acts as a visual processing of sensitivity to others’ emotions, specifically how the weight of external negative behaviors can manifest within our minds. Drawing inspiration from Buddhist mindfulness practices, the composition visually addresses the challenging journey of detaching from negative emotional cycles.
Through a highly technical process involving mixed media and hand-blended image transfer techniques, “Ego” stands as an intimate, physical reflection of navigating dark mental spaces to find a true creative voice free from the chemical fog of chronic pain management.
