This piece has chopped and changed over the years. It started as a pencil drawing that was more of a pattern with the words ‘Pushing Boundaries. It then ended up with a photo I loved and had sketched and changed about – so I wouldn’t get told off with copyright issues. It then got involved with some other work I was doing that Manchester in the UK as an industrial city. And finally, I added I used Billie Eilish’s face on the women’s body to inspire me. She’s a woman who is not all about beauty and the shallow life you can find yourself in – as a woman. The quote just came to me in the end I have no idea why!
