I wanted to create something that showed some happiness and a desperate sadness of what it’s like to be a poor person in this world. Our world is obsessed with buying and selling, and if you want to live your life where you are not involved in this concept, it’s very hard. As an artist, I’m just happy to create and need money to pay bills and buy equipment – that’s all! I’m not bothered about status. At the moment I’m looking for somewhere to display my art, and as like everything it requires money. It’s why I’ve set this rave under a bridge, as it’s open to all types of people, including people with no money and the disabled poor. We seem to have finally opened our minds up not to be racist, sexist or any ist, but the one thing that is not changing is the acceptance of the poor and have nasty names for them like Chav, Red neck and so on. This rave is also in the early hours when all the working-class people are fast asleep, and the people on the edge of society live.
